National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has approved Bishop Stuart University to conduct Open Distance and e-learning (ODeL) following its inspection visit to the University on the 8th of September 2020.
The team that also inspected the Facilitated Academic Resource (FAR) learning Centre - a project that was established in 2018 by Bishop Stuart University in partnership with Trinity Western University, was impressed by the institution's readiness to take on the Emergency Open Distance and e-Learning (ODeL).
In a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Maud Kamatenesi Mugisha, dated 2nd October 2020, NCHE granted Bishop Stuart University permission to roll-out emergency ODeL for all accredited programmes.
In this regard, Bishop Stuart University has joined a few Chartered Universities in Uganda to be officially permitted by the National Council for Higher Education to conduct online teaching and learning.
We thank the Lord for this milestone.
